Easter Weekend 2011

Saturday April 23rd was the day before Easter but full of Easter celebration. We started the day with a neighborhood Easter egg hunt and breakfast potluck. They do it so well and organize each yard in the circle to a different age group. Porter was so cute and loved finding the eggs. It was so fun! A bit chilly out for my blood but then again this whole year has been unusually colder.
Aaron came with us this year! (Last year I think he was home sleeping after getting home from work super late...if I remember correctly.)
Couple hours later after our neighborhood shin-dig we headed over to Jumpin' Jacks for the festivities. There was a coloring contest, archery, inflatable basketball, cookie decorating, and animal balloons (none of which we did--it all cost money/tickets). Porter did face painting and ran around and jumped with his friend Dax. He chose an American flag on his cheek. Not sure if it's because that's what Dax had or just because he LOVES the USA flag and points them out everywhere we go around town.

Porter and Dax had so much fun dancing to the music and running around in circles...literally.

Come egg hunt time they did it in age groups as well and had 4,000 total, so each kid was allowed to get 22-ish.

Aaron was there working to finger print kids. I made sure he did a card for Porter. His finger prints are so small and adorable. Better be the first and last time he gets finger printed. ;)
Porter was one tuckered out boy by the end of the day.
