Porter/Daddy Quality Time & Projects

Porter and Aaron have had a lot of good quality time together recently with a change in Aaron's work schedule. He's been home evenings (whereas he has previously worked at that time of day) and it has been wonderful! We've had dinner together at the table as a family a lot more and Aaron has been home to do Porter's bedtime with us. It's been so nice for our family. Aaron spends time in the garage cleaning, making messes and reorganizing before and after doing canyons, working out, and various projects. Porter loves to be out there with him and if Aaron has tools in hand, so does Porter. He also "helps" Aaron work out. (7/9)
Porter got a Home Depot craft project from the library and one evening after Aaron came home from work they "built" the fire truck. Porter loves that fire truck! (7/14)

Back in June the library had another building craft project by Lowe's; we missed it due to pregnancy issues but we got our kit later on. Aaron and Porter put it together and painted it. Aaron let Porter pick the colors, although he did have to help him a little picking green for leaves. (7/15)

As soon as Aaron comes home from work he would like to rest and unwind after a long day of work, but Porter always has other plans. He wants to play! He is too cute to say no to, so Aaron runs around the house with him or flying him around as a "spaceship". These pictures were taken on a Sunday evening after having Nana and Papa over for dinner.
Porter the cowboy and Daddy the horsie.
Lookin' around...

Porter in the "boat" telling Daddy what he sees. (7/17)Daddy's boots are made for walking...even for little feet! (7/21)Porter LOVES to play "restaurant" (that's what I call it)--he gets the "counter" and asks what you want, then he takes a turn to order. Too cute. My big boy helping Daddy mow the lawn. He loves to do anything and everything with his Daddy! (7/22)I'm grateful my boys have such a great bond and wonderful relationship! That will be instrumental to Porter's well-being in growing up and turning out to be a good person.
