Tuacahn 2010

I have had a great summer in entertainment with the opportunity to see all three shows at Tuacahn this year! Tuacahn is an outdoor amphitheatre nestled in the beautiful red rocks of sunny southern Utah and they do the best shows! Monday October 4th Aaron and I had a great date night with Jordan (Aaron's work partner) and Aimee for dinner and to see "Tarzan"!!! It was AWESOME...or at least what we saw of it. Miraculously it does rain in the desert and that happened to be one of the days it did, thus the show was canceled before it even got halfway through so we rescheduled for the 11th. Last night Aaron and I went to Tarzan (take 2) and it was sooooooo WINDY. That wasn't fun but we did get $10 credit for the concession stand for the other show being rained out. I was thrilled got a great deal on tickets and had perfect seats for the first show. We were 5 rows from the back so when it rained we were the first row who had shelter. I don't even own an umbrella or rain gear. Was not equipped for last weeks rain and storms. Yesterday we were on the very top row and those seats were HORRIBLE with the wind and where it was leveled because most of our view included the heads of people in the row just in front of us. Aimee & Jordan...what a great couple! Cute picture, although would have almost been frame-worthy if it weren't for the tongue. Men... *roll eyes* Never serious for the camera. *cheesy grin* It's a perfect picture of Aimee (in my opinion) and I think it's good for her to get in a picture once in awhile. Don't know that she gets too many taken of her since she is a photographer and usually the one behind the camera. =P

One of my really good friends Alicia invited me to see the premier showing of "Crazy for You" and I LOVED it! It was a Gershwin musical comedy and I sang right along (to myself) and tapped my little toes the whole time. It was so good. Glad I went with a friend who appreciates and enjoys that kind of thing instead of with a husband who would have been bored/tortured. Aaron appreciates the arts, just not musicals so much.
Pioneer Day (July 24th) we went to see CATS (something I REALLY enjoyed...can't say the same for Aaron) with our friends the Jenkins. Again a great deal on tickets (regular price tickets for these kind of shows range from about $25-60 each) for city employees so it was only $10 for a ticket! They really do so well; the costumes, singing, dancing...it's Broadway in the desert!
