Richfield Trip-Day 1

June 1-3 we went to Richfield, Utah. Aaron has federal training for work in Ephraim and we went along for the ride. It was a mini-vacation away from home and so fun! We stayed in the Holiday Inn Express and it was such a nice hotel. I loved it. Everything was so nice and new, clean, well kept, and beautiful. Thankfully the pool was indoor so we were able to enjoy that. It was a bit on the chilly side the days we were there--40's or 50's and VERY windy. Two other guys brought their families so I got to hang out with two of my good friends, Amberly and Manuela, and Porter got to play with his friends (their kids).Porter was all cuddled up naked and cozy, wrapped in a towel and his blanket after swimming. He was too content and comfortable that he didn't want to move.Porter wasn't cooperating to get ready after swimming to go out to dinner; Aaron ended up sitting on him to get his shoes on. Porter didn't appreciate that much. I thought it was funny.
We had dinner at a restaurant across the parking lot from our hotel: Frontier Village. It came recommended to me by my new friend, Mindy, whom I met a year ago attending story time. She lived in Richfield for a year and gave me a few suggestions on what to do while we were there. The restaurant was very good and had a nice, small-town, warm feel to it. According to my friend Amberly it also came highly recommended by online reviews. Our only disappointment was our service was slow, but everything else was great. I was happy because the server gave me refills on my non-refillable hot chocolate. Making a pregnant woman happy...always a good idea.Porter so cute with his friends Semisi (Misi) and Maili.
