Thursday morning Aaron woke up early--like 6am--to go to training and Porter slept in late; I had to wake him up so we didn't miss breakfast which ended at 9:30am. It was a good breakfast with a wide selection of juices, milk, hot chocolate (yeah for me!), yogurt, scrambled eggs, bacon, pancakes, cinnamon rolls, mini-muffins, fruit, cereal, oatmeal, toast, bagels, and biscuits with gravy. It was as good as instant and microwavable food could be! We missed having breakfast with our friends who had been up and had breakfast much earlier. After eating we went back to the room and Porter wanted to watch cartoons. I told him his friends were going to the park, but much to my surprise he had no desire to go at the time. I took a shower and talked to my family on the phone. Finally I decided we needed to get out so we walked to the closest park, passing our friends who were on their way back to the hotel. It was a WINDY, kinda chilly day. It was a 20-30 minute walk there. Would have been a one minute drive but we were left without a car. I was nice to get some sunshine.

Porter played on the big playground for a few minutes and went down the big slide once.

Little sweetie picked "flowers" (dandelion weeds) for me. Precious! That is my little gentleman.

He played on the little playground after a snack for a bit and we decided to head home.

One of Porter's favorite things on our little outing was the HUGE American flag. That was the benefit of the wind; seeing it wave so beautifully.

We got back and it was time to go swimming with friends.

Amberly was so nice and gave Porter a pair of floaties that he ended up calling his "water muscles". He kept giving me the "muscle" pose.

Porter completely passed out after swimming and wouldn't even wake up when Aaron got back from being gone all day! Porter had started to get a cold while we were there as well, so when we woke him up early from his nap he did not act normal for a bit. He was tired and I think didn't feel really good due to the cold. I loaded him up with Benadryl so thankfully it didn't last but a few days.

We ate at the other restaurant my friend Mindy recommended--Pepperbelly's Mexican. It was really really good. The salsa was so spicy I could not get enough. I would definitely go there again and recommend it as well.

Fork attacks; got Porter to laugh and woke him up to play.

The kids had so fun playing "ordering food" through the door window.

After dinner we went to a park. (Pictured: Jed, Dax, Sekonaia--aka: Kona--BJ, Semisi, Porter, and Aaron. Maili was around, Manuela had baby Rhys sitting on the grass with Amberly.) The big boys wanted to play football but it turned into a kid game. The kids didn't want anything to do with the playground or swings when their dad's were there to play with, and had a football!

Tackle, tackle, tackle! And the girl gets away with the ball. Way to go Maili!

Some of the little kids cried any time they didn't have the football so Aaron turned it into a racing game. He would kick the ball and each kid got a turn, timed, to run and bring it back to see who was the fastest. Wore them out and kept them busy and happy. It was really fun to see them clap and cheer for each other.

Daddy Aaron being the monkey that he is.

After playing at the park Aaron took me to the other recommended place for a treat--Ideal Dairy. I got a grasshopper shake and man was it 'nummy'! Loved it! Back at the hotel we went swimming and Aaron played with Porter in the pool while I enjoyed my shake and talked with Manuela.

Porter swimming all by himself! Thanks to the muscle floaties at least.

Team Jed/Dax having races with team Aaron/Porter.

The big boys went into the hot tub so Porter and Dax went over and put their feet in. Lots of good male bonding time I'm sure.

Friday morning (so day 3 of the trip) we all got up and went down for breakfast. The kids started running around so Aaron got a cart and wheeled them around. That kept them happy and entertained for awhile. Then we were off to Rockin' R Ranch to spend a few hours and then headed home.

Porter lookin' so cool in his sunglasses that he ended up bending and breaking on that trip. Grrrr. It was such a fun little get away and great time together as a family, and huge bonus to spend it with friends!
