  • Reading ABC book w/ Porter at bed time & there was an angel for the letter A...Porter said, "Like my Mama." *Mommy melts & smoother's son in kisses* 7/5
  • After being in bed 7/5 Porter yells for Aaron & says "I miss my Mommy." Again Mommy melts & gives son kisses
  • Porter usually repeats what we say when we pray, but one day I said, "Bless our breakfast..." & Porter automatically "...cereal milk." I laughed out loud! He didn't repeat what I said but instead told Heavenly Father what we were eating for breakfast! :P

Currents stats: 29.2 lbs, size 7 shoe, size 2T (some 3T) clothes, & size 4 diaper (working on the potty thing)

Other little facts: hardly uses any sign language any more but talks a lot (very common); talks more in 1st person rather than 3rd person (even if he does mix up his pronouns); says "four wee-wer" for 4-wheeler instead of "vroom-vroom"; sometimes calls us "Mom" & "Dad" vs. Mommy & Daddy; starting to use 4-5 diapers a day instead of 3--filling them up with pee fast (time to starting always going in the potty!); his big awesome green/yellow Tigger blanket from Nana is his "blankie" & his crib comforter/blanket he calls "covers"; being taught & doing VERY well at undressing & dressing himself with very little Mommy help; calls his kid pliers "scissors"--he loves his tools; wants to be an "army man" like Daddy (we have pics of Aaron's military days hanging in the office)...every time he says it sounds like he's saying "Iron Man"; he knows that both he & Daddy have brown eyes & Mommy has green (technically hazel)...I asked him what color eyes Caleb will have & he said red...when I gave him the options he said blue 7/12; Porter will fake snore to pretend he's asleep--also like to fake sneeze; loves to help me put his clothes on hangers; gets himself snacks in the pantry & likes "triangles" (currently a Wal-mart brand baked cheese cracker that are in the shape of a triangle)Porter buried by pillows (6/24) & holding Teddy wrapped up (6/25)
Funny little guy. So tuckered after church he didn't want to take a nap but ended up falling asleep on the couch about 6:30pm. Aaron transferred him to his bed an hour and a half later and he slept all night. Well...he did wake up at 1am but went straight back to bed after I snuggled hi for a minute. Then he got up minutes later and didn't want to go back down that time until I told him we had to go to bed so we could go to swim class the next day. That worked like a charm. (6/26)
Cute little boy talking to Daddy on the phone. (6/27)
Porter walking around in Daddy's shoes. (6/28)

(6/29)

Where's Porter??? Porter must be hiding. (6/30)
There he is!!!

Recently Porter has decided it's more fun to play with the containers that hold his toys rather than the toys. He'll dump all the toys out and play with the containers. This day he first put them on his head and said he was a robot. I played robot too. (7/1)

Next he turned them over and used them as drums. After that it was fun to sit in them. I'm surprised he didn't say he was in a boat.
Last of all he lined them up and pushed them around saying it was a train. Cute imagination!

Porter and his toy arrangements are so cute.
Porter put Teddy to bed one day. He turned on the fan, gave him a sippy with "milkie", books, put covers on him, and closed the door. Then Porter went to play. So cute!!! (7/1) When he's been doing things like that he'll say to me, "Don't touch my bed!"
