Porter got a lot of special quality time with his Daddy Saturday July 23rd. I went out to check out garage sales in the morning before my boys even got up, and I came home to Porter "fishing" in the living room. The blue container was his boat and they had been fishing stuffed animals and cars from the "water" with the fishing pole Aaron made (used rope with a hanger using the wire part for a hook). It was so cute! Porter was having the time of his life!
I got one thing at a garage sale that I was so excited about. Last year for Porter's 2nd birthday his Nana and Papa (Aaron's parents) got him a "Ca-chow" chair (Lightening McQueen from Cars) and I found a Toy Story one for $3! That will be Caleb's. How cute is that?!
Porter filled the chair with the teddy bears he had been fishing and told us who they each belonged to: Mommy's (the new version of his), Porter's (the rugged used...I mean loved one), Daddy's (the teddy he calls "cop light teddy"), and Caleb's. So so so adorable!
Then Aaron took Porter out with his friend BJ and his son Misi (one of Porter's best buds) for a father/son outing to see the movie "Cars 2". I had Porter wear a red/white/blue shirt in honor of Pioneer Day weekend and he wore his "Ca-chow" hat.
Porter's friend and his dad BJ--Misi is one of the cutest kids in the world! Look at that kid! He is adorable...if you can call a 4 year old that. Just such a little stud.
The boys got treats too--popcorn, candy, and a drink. Aaron said Porter did good except saying he had to go to the bathroom every 20 mins. They went about 7 times and Aaron said Porter actually peed in the potty twice. Not bad for a kid who was in diapers.
Of course the daddies let their boys play video games. I'm so glad Aaron took pictures of that outing. I did ask him about 10 times if he would. Glad he obeyed. =P Or maybe he would have anyway.
Looks a little too comfortable with guns doesn't he?
I'm so glad Aaron makes sure to always take time and do special things with his son! He is truly the best father in every aspect of the word.
