Porter-The Dino Rider!

Porter rode on a dinosaur!!!! He wasn't thrilled because he wanted to go play with toys instead of pose for pictures on a fake dinosaur. Isn't he cute?!This is me and my Princess Chia. I love my dogs. This one is a really good jumper. She pretty much can fly. She is so strong, playful, snuggly, and a very good "little sister". She tortures and taunts Chancho so much; she goes after his leg and bites it any time he is chasing something. Little brat. Something funny about Chia is she is deathly afraid of wind. Cannot stand it and it scares her to death. Little weeny also hates weather; if it's cold, raining, or snowing outside, she tends to poo in the house unless we make her go out in the elements a couple times a day. When I get home on a rainy day I do a quick tootsie roll search. This morning went snowboarding with Aaron and it was AWESOME!!!! So much fun. Only my second time to go in almost 3 years (the couple years before that I went several times to Mt Charleston in Vegas) and I am really starting to enjoy it. I've always had fun with it but I'm not such a beginner anymore, which means more skills and more fun. It was perfect; sunshine (until fog set in but still fine), fresh snow, and my favorite part...few people! Loooooved it! Aaron can't wait until we can take Porter. Probably next year. Anyone got toddler snowboard gear to sell??? Snowboarding will be so much fun as a family. =)

Zion Park over Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving week we had a blast because my twin Stacey, husband Matt, and baby Simon came out to play. One day we did a small hike in Zion National Park and it was beautiful. I could just eat those Simon cheeks! The babies were really good. =) Two things I love: nature and my family.

Porter Chills

Porter loves to chill on our bed. He loves to be flipped or thrown on the bed; it's a nice soft landing with the memory foam pad. Here he is also petting Chia. I love this kid. He gets cuter and more fun with every passing day. Wish the days wouldn't pass so fast. Nothing new; no additional signs or words as of yet. Me, still good and busy with Young Women's and loving my little son. Aaron--busy with lots of confidential work. It has rained so much this week which is odd weather for this area. Can't wait for the warm hot sunny days ahead!

Porter--Livin' the Good Life

Porter is still using his bottle...is that bad? I tried transferring his milk to the sippy but when I hand it to him he just throws it down, plops to the ground, and cries. I'll try again soon. He takes juice in a sippy, but that milk...it's just not as good unless it's in the bottle. =P Today was the second time he voluntarily handed me his binkie though!!! I didn't ask for it or anything. When I went to get him out of him crib he handed me his blanket and teddy (normal 'ritual'). Then he took the binkie out of his mouth, ripped it from being attached to his shirt, and just handed it over before I picked him up to get him out. I was so proud! In more recent family news, tonight we were invited to a friends parent's house for swimming and dinner and it was so fun!!! Nice heated indoor pool wasn't enough for Porter though. He was mad and cried until his daddy got in to swim. By then he was content but when daddy put him in the floating car with a steering wheel, true happiness ensued and it was all smiles from then on. It was a great night with wonderful friends. =) Porter is really livin' the good life. ;)

Porter obsessed...I know

Porter LOVES to sign "hat" but doesn't always wear one long. Got this "cowboy" hat at DI for costumes and dress up and to wear to the Dixie Rodeo once a year. Porter also LOVES to climb on things and he ran to the step ladder and even danced (bounced up and down) on it. As you can see he has his binkie and it's not bed time. No weaning or winding down on it this week when he is teething.

Porter is just so much fun! Sunday we experienced one of those precious moments when you realize just how rewarding and fun parenthood is: Porter took a little suitcase I got at DI and keep his blocks in and he packed it up, closed it, and started dragging it away as he continuously waved "bye-bye". It was HILARIOUS!!! Aaron kept asking him when his bus was leaving and to make sure and write, all the while Porter just waved and waved and waved. Don't know what his plans were or where he thought he was going but it was adorable. Little people are so fun! Porter has added to the list of signs: he now signs "monkey" and "swing", and can do the sounds for tiger (been doing that one for months), horse (that one too which he also does the same when he sees a cow), and elephant. Here are some Porter stats: 21 lbs, size 3 diaper, size 12 month clothes, size 3-4 shoe, says couple words and cute as a button. So I'm a little obsessed with my son...can you blame me?! Look at this kid!!!

Porter rides again

Porter likes to ride! He was so cute today...not that it's different from any other day. He just did lots of funny things (climbing onto toys and sneaking dog food) and was on the GO GO GO! Woke up, watched Baby Einstein, played with toys, ate yummy breakfast of oatmeal, orange and banana, built a fort with Daddy, went to story time, played at the park with Daddy and went down the slide a lot, took a nap, ate lunch, played more, went for a walk in the stroller and saw horses up close, took another nap, took Daddy dinner, shopped at DI (where the pirate hat picture comes in), ate dinner, had two poopie diapers in one day (usually only has one), took bath, peed on the floor and slipped on it before getting in the tub, played with puppies, played football with Mommy, read story, and went to bed. Whew!!! Quite a full day for a little guy. Daddy is always busy with work but when he is home he spends a lot of time with his little son. They are the sweetest pair. I love my boys!

My Precious Toddler Angel

Ta-da!!! We are really enjoying story time at the library (except for the fact he just started pushing kids!...naughty). Today the story lady read books about snowmen and then the kids glued cotton balls on the snowman. Here Porter is showing it off: "Ta-da!"


My precious little angel is a toddler! Only word he really says is "Daddy" and sometimes I think I detect a "teddy" and he attempts "dog" but it sounds like "gog". He can sign 'please' which is the cutest thing in the world. He will also sign dog, turtle, hat, milk, fish, eat, and all done. He is working on monkey and can blow kisses (looks like smacking himself in the mouth). Stacey showed me how to make these cute snowmen from marshmallows. Adorable!

Saw this shirt at DI. Thankfully my tot is no where near the "mine" stage but I thought it was quite appropriate for all those 2 and 3 years old out there!

Also need to say HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! My Mom's birthday was on the 1st (as well as my Aunt Wendy!), so Happy Birthday ladies! =)
