Time Out for Me....coming up!

I am sooooooooo excited!!! Time Out for Women is coming up in a few weeks! I am so excited; these are the tickets. Aren't they beautiful?!

Tomorrow I am off to Kentucky, so this is probably good-bye for a few or two!

Long live Ramsies!

The hunt is over!!! We have husband/daddy back home. :) Aaron didn't get anything but he did bring back the jerky from the last deer he got, so first time to try deer meat. Ramses was going to be the name for the buck he got, but since he got nothing Ramses lives on. Told Porter daddy was off killing Bambi; hope that doesn't emotionally scar him, not that he's ever watched "Bambi"...

This is my latest bargain. I love a bargain and deal more than anything when it comes to shopping. I feel ripped off paying regular price. This is an extra car seat I got at a garage sale for $4! It's only 3 years old and will work quite nicely for those "You have the car with the car seat so what am I supposed to do?" discussions.

Cards, the Red Neck & Porter news

My visiting teaching companion is awesome! We do great together and I just wanted to show you the last card she made. I thought it was the cutest thing! I love it! The green block says "Witchin you"... and the inside said something like "...a Happy Halloween". And the little cute witch is all raised up; just too adorable to not share. This is Aaron's look to go hunting. He came out and I said "Why hello Earl". Does he not look like such a red neck!?! AHHHH!!! Who is this man?! He said they will be doing a lot of red neck things and thus needs to look the part. I'm just confused; thought I left anything like this back in Kentucky. Anyway, I think this is his 4th year hunting and he LOVES it and looks forward to it every year. It's a man's right of passage...supposedly. Someday he will be taking my poor innocent baby son Porter, who will probably be defiled by the smell of unshowered men. Blah!

Porter has been having a bit of a teething week and today was a little tiny bit rough for him. Tylenol (not the name brand recalled stuff), teething tablets, baby Ambisol, frozen binki's, Popsicles, and some essential oils (that's a new one my wonderful neighbor gave me to try for him; they're awesome!!!) all help the little guy to make it through the pain. Isn't he the most pitiful little thing?

He just gets cuter and cuter and cuter. This past month he has become attached and accustomed to having his blanket ("blankie"), binki, and teddy when he goes to bed or nap. He also had a bottle of a couple ounces of milk just before he goes down and sometimes when he gets up. He has even started giving me the hint that it's bed time by going to get his blanket and bear and bringing them to me, then he reaches his arms up to be picked up. Soooooooooooooooooooo cute!!! Then when you go to get him out of the crib he has to unload everything in the crib before he gets picked up. This kid is too much fun.

Anyone who knows me knows that I loooove shopping at DI (Deseret Industries). Well I had fun tonight trying hats on Porter and I ended up getting this one. So cute and so fun!

Love + Halloween

The same day we made the pumpkin cakes we also made these spider cupcakes. I am having so much fun!!! I love my friends, I love my family, I love my husband, I love my son, I love my puppies....love love love love!!!

Halloween fun

Had some friends over and to get festive and have some Halloween fun we made pumpkin cakes! (Among other baked goodies.) They look a bit more like apples with the skinny pretzels and I should have put them on a pretty plate with leaves, but still pretty. We had so much fun!!! I love not working and staying home with my baby. It's blissful and get to waste time doing fun random pointless festive things like this! =D

Porter's big boy chair

Got this Nemo chair at DI for $3 and Porter LOVES it!!! His face doesn't look like it in the picture but that's only because I took a picture. Before and after he was smiling and laughing and scrunching his cute little nose like he does. He makes two "sounds": he "roars" like a tiger and his attempt to "neigh" like a horse is just blowing air through his closed lips resulting in spit. He also does that when he sees cows now. I love this kid.

I know some may think, "Why bother calling it a family blog? This is all Porter!", but can you blame me? Seriously. Why am I going to put myself on here when my whole day is this precious little pint-size package of fun! Here's a new tasty little morsel to enjoy. =DAs for me, busy with Young Woman's, cleaning, trying to get back into my work out routine (got out of it after my August travels), donating, playing with baby and puppies, and living life! The last date night Aaron and I went on we went shooting. Did I already post about that? It was fun! Shot a Glock 27, AR 15, and a shot gun. Hope I got all that right. So watch out, I know how to use a weapon. DUN DUN DUN...

My babies

This is Porter this morning after he woke up. He now sleeps with a blanket and just recently this bear I bought at a garage sale in Vegas years ago. I love the morning messed up hair look! Porter is 13 months as of Sunday, 19 lbs, so close to walking independently (has taken steps here and there and will grab your fingers and take off running), loves cheese, LOVES milk, and will eat almost anything I give him. Always spits out ham...maybe just because it's lunch meat??? Then there is my Chia girl who has this new "baby" which is appropriately a cat. If I had a picture of Chancho with his I would add it too. I love my babies--both flesh and furry.
