Memorial Weekend 2011

We had a pretty relaxed and uneventful Memorial weekend, but we did the most important thing and that is to remember the fallen who have given their lives in the service of our country.
Porter patting/petting Teddy telling him it's okay. About what who knows. Guess Teddy just needed some comfort. =P (5/28)
Porter and I went to Boulevard Home Furnishings to hang around and eat lunch (free hot dog and popcorn...why not?) and he thought it was great throwing pennies in the fountain.
Sunday we all dressed in our red, white, and blue best. (5/29)

What a handsome little stud of a kid!
I love this picture of my boys in their church clothes--too bad it's blurry. =(
Porter was entertained for a bit reading books to himself. One of our favorites is "Easy Street". There's a part where you "roll it, roll it" and we do hand motions. I caught Porter doing it all by himself. Cute moments! (5/30)
Porter wanted Teddy to wear a flag shirt, so he put him inside his shirt. Clever!
One of Porter's favorite things is the American flag--or as he says "fwag". He points them out wherever we go--at banks and homes, or on shirts.Blue bath at the end of the day as a finishing touch in celebration of the holiday. God bless the USA!

Memorial Day 2010

Memorial Day was spent with Aaron's family and we had a great time. Four of the Bergquist kids + families (minus the babies: Port and Pres) went out to Sand Hallow Lake. It was so much fun. This is Aaron and I. (We missed the two siblings and families who weren't there and the parents.)
Matt & Charity
Nolan (soon-to-be brother-in-law) & Becky
Aaron & Spencer
Mir & kids
Peyton, Jolee, & Lincoln

The toys & Gage on the beach. Wish I would have gotten a group picture with everyone; I tried but no responses and a "later" look. Whenever I ask if we can take a picture in any group setting I am usually met with sighs and groans; so if I ever ask you to be in a picture or have a group picture, just grin and bear it, k?

My little drummer boy--so cute! Future musician? Or future noise-maker? Notice he is wearing a onesie with the American flag on it; in honor of Memorial Day. God bless America and those who fight for our freedom!
