Nashville Trip Fun

Porter was so cute and had Teddy eat Cheerios for breakfast one morning while he had his Kix cereal. (5/10)
Meet Stacey morning hair. It's so much more tame than mine. So not fair. And picky-eater-Simon-son in his highchair while Stacey gets him to eat the best that she can. He used to eat oatmeal every morning, love fruit, always ate yogurt, and maybe beef with ketchup, but nowadays he prefers a diet of carpet lint, cat litter, cat food, rocks, and corners of books. It's been a source of frustration for Mommy Stacey. Their pediatrician didn't seem worried at all since he is still gaining weight from appointment to appointment.
We took the boys to the Discovery Center and they had a lot of fun playing. It's an awesome place with tons of things to do and two levels of play areas. (5/10)

Fixin' cars.

Porter got to pretend he was a fireman.

Simon's favorite thing to do: play with rocks. It's his own personal haven.

The awesome big tree house!
Simon loved the wedge slide in the toddler corner where the room is covered in padded foam things.
Porter played in the little stores. They had a music store, a house with a kitchen, a Kroger grocery store, a post office, and a Home Depot.

The water area was of course a hit with both boys. Porter played with the boats for a long time.

After naps we took the boys to get free ice cream at Chick-fil-A and it was some sort of family night so the cow mascot was there and the boys played in the play area. (5/10)
Stacey and I took Porter (and Eliza) with us while he hung out at her friend's house. (5/11) It was fun having girl time and talking with her friends. I love her friends! They are such great girls and so fun! We got to go hang out with them both Wednesday's I was there.
The rest of that day we dedicated to spending time with our parents. We took Mom out for a girl's lunch date (Eliza included of course) to her choice of restaurant, our treat. We ate at a Chinese restaurant and it was very tasty. That evening we went out with Dad for a traditional "Daddy-Daughter Date" just like we did in the old days. Except this time we did go to a store to look at Barbies. We went to a couple stores and Dad bought us some "treats", then we ended with shakes at Sonic. Aaron and Matt got home from their motorcycle trip that evening.
